The General Chapter was billed as an opportunity to be a Benedictine for a day. The day began with the Office of Lauds. During the day all of the hours of the Divine Office were chanted. Thirty-two persons were registered for the event. Those in attendance were deeply involved throughout the prayer and teaching sessions. Teachers were the three priors of the community. At the community Mass a new oblate was invested and a new novice clothed in the Community of St. Aidan of Lindisfarne.

On the following day the priors met to discuss their communities. At that meeting Fr. Warren Shoberg of the Community of Our Lady of Walsingham was elected as Prior General of the Canon Communities.

Next year’s meeting will be held in Arizona.
