The General Chapter of the Canons of the Order of Saint Benedict met February 1st through 4th, 2018,  at the invitation of the Community of St. Mary of the Annunciation in Tempe, Arizona.

The Community is centered at St. Augustine's Church in Tempe. Along with the meeting of the Priors, the time was structured so the varied ministries of the community could be explored. St. Augustine's is a parish church, hosting a Montessori Pre-school, an active youth ministry, and a ministry to the Arizona State University students whose campus is very near.  This university is considered the largest university with 70,000 students. The Prior, Father Chad-Joseph Sundin, OSBCn is the vicar of the parish.

The priors' meeting was fruitful. Several items were contributed by the priors and discussion held so that consensus could be reached concerning the life of the communities. Some of those changes are reflected in this website.

At the Eucharistic celebration on Saturday, February 3, two novices were clothed, an oblation renewed and a new oblation made.  The Priors of the Communites of St. Aidan and Our Lady of Walsingham are grateful for the hospitality provided and the opportunity to meet members of the Tempe community.
